Special Assistance

Unaccompanied minors

Some airlines at Lille Airport provide a special service for accompanying children travelling by themselves (U.M. service for Unaccompanied Minors).

You can check on your airline's file if it provides a U.M. service departing from Lille Airport: Click here.

Babies

All the airlines at Lille Airport allow infants on board their planes, but each airline applies its own rules.

We suggest that you check the airline file for transport conditions departing from Lille Airport: Click here.

Please note: it is no longer possible to register a minor on the passport of one of its parents. Children must have their own passport.

People with Reduced Mobility

We pay particular attention to the reception and assistance we provide for passengers with reduced mobility, and we are delighted to be able to help you and make your journey easier:

  • there is a large number of standard PRM parking spaces for you in each of the airport's car parks;
  • the lifts and the automatic doors are generously wide so that your wheelchair is able to pass through easily;
  • spacious toilet facilities fitted with support bars are installed in the Arrivals/Departures zone.
  • In the terminal lobby, in the drop-off zone and in the Departures Hall, there are phone booths which you can use to contact our services for prompt assistance. This service is provided by fully qualified staff from Lille Airport, trained in taking care of people with reduced mobility and in safety practices.

Our assistants greet you and help you, if you so require, to:

  • move around
  • check yourself in as well as your baggage and mobility equipment
  • get to the plane, in a standard wheelchair for going through the security checkpoints and boarding the plane (wheelchair provided by our services while you are passing through the airport)
  • board the plane and settle in your seat
  • leave the plane
  • collect your baggage and mobility equipment.

To organise the best reception and care for you at Lille Airport, it is important that you request assistance when booking your ticket, at least 48 hours before your departure. This request must be made with your travel agent or your airline when you book. The services at Lille Airport will then be notified of your arrival by the airline.

If you are unable to notify us of your needs 48 hours before your flight, the assistants at Lille Airport will do all they can to make your journey easier, but you may have to wait for them to assist you depending on their availability.

We therefore advise you to arrive at the airport well before your normal check-in time (at least 1 hour 30 minutes before) so that the airport can meet your needs, in time for your flight.

Each airline provides a range of services suitable for the needs of people with reduced mobility or disabled people. Consult your airline file: Click here.

We would like to inform you that the information collected is recorded in a data file by SAS to ensure you benefit from the best reception possible. In accordance with regulations, you can exercise your right to access you personal data and amend them by contacting: information@lille.aeroport.fr
