2007 is quite a good year for CargoLIL, as far as figures are concerned as well as developpment of the overseas supply chain services
Firstable, the differents segments of the activity are in positive evolution : Import +4%, Export +20%, total +9%. It is a new record and we can expect to pass the 70 000 tons. The direct airfreight flow increased of 41% thanks to both development of cargo charter and scheduled passenger mix flight.
For the first three months of 2008, growth is 9% thanks to import flows. |

About the infrastructure, and in order to face to the peak season, we increase the surface by the addition of a 500 sqm marquee, very appreciated last automn and so this spring. Moreover, the refresh of the common area give more comfort for the 200 staffs and attractivity for new partners on airport. From now on Lille airport is certified 14001 for environment. Last year and from 0% in 2005, the cargo activity sorted out 50% of its wastes. So we invite all the staff to sort out the office papers, woods and plastics.
This kind of subjects are now studied in a working group. So the partners are invited each three monthes to collaborate or participate to an event. For example, the new local custom manager explained in February the challenges and the strategy of his administration : Lesquin centralization, the new habilited economic operator status, the French competitivness in a border context. At least we will organize a convivial meeting for all the staff on Thursday 26 june. |

We also answer to a strong demand to prepare on airport the delivery for numerous domestic and European distribution center situated in the region. That means that we realize on airport preparation of order, special picking as color-size-order . In the same time we have the challenge to reduce the transit time thanks to a common job with shippers-forwarders-carriers-handlers.
Last November, a special supply chain was organized at Lille airport. From a full cargo 747 landed at Frankfurt, ten trucks came to Lille Airport in order to handle 40 aircraft palets. A specific paletisation and sorting out was required. Within 36 hours, the goods were ready for the sale in the customer warehouse. |
